# Jiff Journal vs BigPlan

The clearest difference is update cadence: BigPlan at every 2 weeks against Jiff Journal's every 4 months. BigPlan also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Jiff Journal's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jiff Journal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and BigPlan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Jiff Journal against 5.0 for BigPlan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BigPlan has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jiff Journal ships an update every 4 months, BigPlan every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
