# Waffle vs Bloom

The clearest difference is rating: Bloom at 5.0 against Waffle's 4.6. Waffle's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waffle sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Bloom sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bloom holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waffle has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Waffle ships an update weekly, Bloom every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
