# Womata vs RubyNav

The clearest difference is rating: RubyNav at 5.0 against Womata's 3.9. RubyNav also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Womata's advantage is ratings volume (217 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RubyNav holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Womata has 217 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Womata ships an update fortnightly, RubyNav every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
