# Womata vs Bigisub

Womata and Bigisub both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Bigisub's written reviews are positive against 49% of Womata's. Womata's advantage is ratings volume (216 vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Womata holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Womata has 216 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Womata's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bigisub's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Womata ships an update fortnightly, Bigisub every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
