# AOD Clock vs Smart Widget

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Smart Widget at 67% against AOD Clock's 9%. Smart Widget also leads on rating (4.3 vs 2.4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AOD Clock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Smart Widget sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smart Widget holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Widget has 882 ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 9% of AOD Clock's written reviews are positive against 67% of Smart Widget's.

AOD Clock ships an update every 2 months, Smart Widget every 10 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
