# Progress Home+ vs The Ultimate Cave

Progress Home+ and The Ultimate Cave both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of The Ultimate Cave's written reviews are positive against 29% of Progress Home+'s. Progress Home+'s advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (21K vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Progress Home+ against 5.0 for The Ultimate Cave. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Progress Home+ has 21K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 29% of Progress Home+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of The Ultimate Cave's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
