# SMART BMS vs Solar App

The clearest difference is rating: Solar App at 3.1 against SMART BMS's 2.2. SMART BMS's advantage is review sentiment (17% vs 0%) and ratings volume (78 vs 14). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Solar App holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMART BMS has 78 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of SMART BMS's written reviews are positive against 0% of Solar App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SMART BMS ships an update every 6 weeks, Solar App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
