# i vs Frandroid

The clearest difference is rating: Frandroid at 4.5 against i's 3.5. Frandroid also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). i's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (85% vs 51%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Frandroid holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of i's written reviews are positive against 51% of Frandroid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

i ships an update every 5 months, Frandroid every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
