# Cabela's vs Top Fun RC

The clearest difference is rating: Cabela's at 4.8 against Top Fun RC's 3.6. Cabela's also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (29K vs 5). Top Fun RC's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 49%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cabela's holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cabela's has 29K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Cabela's's written reviews are positive against 75% of Top Fun RC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cabela's ships an update fortnightly, Top Fun RC every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
