# VanTop Gimo vs iSmart DV2

The clearest difference is rating: iSmart DV2 at 4.3 against VanTop Gimo's 2.6. iSmart DV2 also leads on ratings volume (750 vs 13). VanTop Gimo's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 24%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iSmart DV2 holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iSmart DV2 has 750 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of VanTop Gimo's written reviews are positive against 24% of iSmart DV2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
