# WE vs Scribe

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scribe at 100% against WE's 7%. Scribe also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 7). WE's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WE sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $16.49 per month. Scribe asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scribe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WE has 2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 7% of WE's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scribe's.

WE ships an update every 5 days, Scribe every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
