# OPTIM Resident vs The Greyson

The clearest difference is update cadence: The Greyson at every 3 weeks against OPTIM Resident's every 11 months. The Greyson also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). OPTIM Resident's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Greyson holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OPTIM Resident has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OPTIM Resident ships an update every 11 months, The Greyson every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
