# UniCam vs UNI

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UNI at none against UniCam's 10. UNI also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). UniCam's advantage is ratings volume (52 vs 6). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UniCam sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. UNI asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for UniCam against 4.7 for UNI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniCam has 52 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UniCam ships an update every 3 weeks, UNI every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
