# Bærklient vs Taxon

The clearest difference is ads: Bærklient at none against Taxon's shown. Bærklient also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Taxon's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bærklient ships an update every 6 months, Taxon fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
