# Neon VPN vs Secure VPN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Secure VPN at 82% against Neon VPN's 25%. Secure VPN also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and ratings volume (409 vs 20). Neon VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neon VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Secure VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Neon VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure VPN has 409 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Neon VPN's written reviews are positive against 82% of Secure VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Neon VPN ships an update monthly, Secure VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
