# Neon VPN vs WebShield PRO

Neon VPN and WebShield PRO both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of WebShield PRO's written reviews are positive against 25% of Neon VPN's. WebShield PRO also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 20) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neon VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and WebShield PRO sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Neon VPN against 4.6 for WebShield PRO. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WebShield PRO has 1.2K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of Neon VPN's written reviews are positive against 50% of WebShield PRO's.

Neon VPN ships an update monthly, WebShield PRO every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
