# Neon VPN vs Intellscan

Neon VPN and Intellscan both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Intellscan's written reviews are positive against 25% of Neon VPN's. Intellscan also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (348 vs 20). Neon VPN's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neon VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Intellscan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Neon VPN against 4.6 for Intellscan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Intellscan has 348 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of Neon VPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of Intellscan's.
