# Layers Roll vs Ladder Master

The clearest difference is rating: Layers Roll at 4.5 against Ladder Master's 3.1. Layers Roll also leads on ratings volume (779 vs 17) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Layers Roll sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ladder Master sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Layers Roll holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Layers Roll has 779 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Layers Roll's written reviews are positive against 67% of Ladder Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Layers Roll ships an update every 3 weeks, Ladder Master every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
