# Authenticator+ App vs Armor VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: Authenticator+ App at free with in-app purchases against Armor VPN's subscription. Authenticator+ App also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ads (none vs shown). Armor VPN's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Authenticator+ App sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Armor VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Authenticator+ App holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3K and 8.8K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of Authenticator+ App's written reviews are positive against 59% of Armor VPN's.

Authenticator+ App ships an update every 6 weeks, Armor VPN fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
