# Authenticator+ App vs VPN

Authenticator+ App and VPN both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 69% of Authenticator+ App's written reviews are positive against 33% of VPN's. Authenticator+ App also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 309). VPN's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Authenticator+ App sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Authenticator+ App against 4.5 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Authenticator+ App has 3K ratings behind it against 309, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 69% of Authenticator+ App's written reviews are positive against 33% of VPN's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
