# ResKit vs SciNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: ResKit at every 2 months against SciNote's every 4 months. SciNote's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ResKit ships an update every 2 months, SciNote every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
