# Realtime Filter vs MediaBox

The clearest difference is rating: Realtime Filter at 5.0 against MediaBox's 4.5. MediaBox's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Realtime Filter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MediaBox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Realtime Filter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MediaBox has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Realtime Filter ships an update every 15 months, MediaBox every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
