# Focus Clock vs Today Clock

The clearest difference is monetization model: Today Clock at free with in-app purchases against Focus Clock's subscription. Today Clock also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and review sentiment (100% vs 69%). Focus Clock's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Clock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 3 months and Today Clock sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Today Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Today Clock has 152 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of Focus Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Today Clock's.

Focus Clock ships an update fortnightly, Today Clock every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
