# Rasidweather vs Rain Maps

The clearest difference is rating: Rasidweather at 4.7 against Rain Maps's 4.1. Rasidweather also leads on ads (none vs shown). Rain Maps's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (70% vs 56%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rasidweather sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Rain Maps sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rasidweather holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rain Maps has 83 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Rasidweather's written reviews are positive against 70% of Rain Maps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rasidweather ships an update monthly, Rain Maps every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
