# bartleby vs The Math Solver App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: The Math Solver App at 67% against bartleby's 24%. The Math Solver App also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). bartleby's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.3 vs 3.8). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. bartleby sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and The Math Solver App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

bartleby holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: bartleby has 2.5K ratings behind it against 371, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of bartleby's written reviews are positive against 67% of The Math Solver App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

bartleby ships an update monthly, The Math Solver App every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
