# bartleby vs Answer AI

The clearest difference is monetization model: Answer AI at free with in-app purchases against bartleby's subscription. Answer AI also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). bartleby's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 434). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. bartleby sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Answer AI sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Answer AI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: bartleby has 2.5K ratings behind it against 434, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of bartleby's written reviews are positive against 21% of Answer AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

bartleby ships an update monthly, Answer AI weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
