# bartleby vs SnapSolver

The clearest difference is monetization model: SnapSolver at free with in-app purchases against bartleby's subscription. SnapSolver also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3). bartleby's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 125). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. bartleby sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and SnapSolver sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapSolver holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: bartleby has 2.5K ratings behind it against 125, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of bartleby's written reviews are positive against 17% of SnapSolver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

bartleby ships an update monthly, SnapSolver every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
