# Toxx vs Diary Duck

Toxx and Diary Duck both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Toxx's written reviews are positive against 33% of Diary Duck's. Diary Duck's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (101 vs 19). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Toxx sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Diary Duck sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Toxx against 4.4 for Diary Duck. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diary Duck has 101 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Toxx's written reviews are positive against 33% of Diary Duck's.

Toxx ships an update every 2 months, Diary Duck weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
