# 3things vs To do list

The clearest difference is update cadence: To do list at every 11 days against 3things's every 3 months. To do list also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). 3things's advantage is device support (5 vs 3). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3things sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and To do list sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for 3things against 5.0 for To do list. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 4 respectively.

3things ships an update every 3 months, To do list every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
