# Yris vs Tatou

Yris and Tatou both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Tatou's written reviews are positive against 22% of Yris's. Yris's advantage is ratings volume (540 vs 23) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Yris against 4.4 for Tatou. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yris has 540 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 22% of Yris's written reviews are positive against 75% of Tatou's.

Yris ships an update every 2 months, Tatou every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
