# Developer vs OrbNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: OrbNote at every 10 days against Developer's every 3 weeks. Developer's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Developer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and OrbNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Developer ships an update every 3 weeks, OrbNote every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
