# Zenkit Chat vs Recall

Zenkit Chat and Recall both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Zenkit Chat's written reviews are positive against 53% of Recall's. Zenkit Chat also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Recall's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zenkit Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Recall asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Zenkit Chat against 4.5 for Recall. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recall has 126 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Zenkit Chat's written reviews are positive against 53% of Recall's.

Zenkit Chat ships an update every 2 months, Recall every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
