# Rentler vs Lauft

Rentler and Lauft both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 95% of Lauft's written reviews are positive against 37% of Rentler's. Lauft also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Rentler's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3K vs 213). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Rentler against 4.7 for Lauft. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rentler has 3K ratings behind it against 213, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of Rentler's written reviews are positive against 95% of Lauft's.

Rentler ships an update every 3 weeks, Lauft every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
