# TicMagic vs VFX Editor Video After Effects

The clearest difference is rating: VFX Editor Video After Effects at 4.6 against TicMagic's 3.8. VFX Editor Video After Effects also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 4). TicMagic's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VFX Editor Video After Effects sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. TicMagic asks for nothing beyond the download.

VFX Editor Video After Effects holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VFX Editor Video After Effects has 1.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of TicMagic's written reviews are positive against 62% of VFX Editor Video After Effects's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
