# The Sign vs Dead Reset

The clearest difference is ads: Dead Reset at none against The Sign's shown. The Sign's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 25) and review sentiment (84% vs 67%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Sign sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Dead Reset sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Sign holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Sign has 1.5K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of The Sign's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dead Reset's.

The Sign ships an update every 6 weeks, Dead Reset every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
