# GPS Toolkit vs Poynterra Trekker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Poynterra Trekker at every 5 days against GPS Toolkit's every 19 months. Poynterra Trekker also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Toolkit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Poynterra Trekker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
