# Fetchadate vs Open

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Open at 100% against Fetchadate's 31%. Open also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.5). Fetchadate's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fetchadate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Open sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Open holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fetchadate has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of Fetchadate's written reviews are positive against 100% of Open's.

Fetchadate ships an update every 3 months, Open every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
