# Ferryhopper vs iLoveSantorini

Ferryhopper and iLoveSantorini both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of iLoveSantorini's written reviews are positive against 39% of Ferryhopper's. iLoveSantorini also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (3 vs 1). Ferryhopper's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 20 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iLoveSantorini holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ferryhopper has 4.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 39% of Ferryhopper's written reviews are positive against 100% of iLoveSantorini's.

Ferryhopper ships an update fortnightly, iLoveSantorini every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
