# Ferryhopper vs Crown Tours

Ferryhopper and Crown Tours both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 95% of Crown Tours's written reviews are positive against 35% of Ferryhopper's. Crown Tours also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Ferryhopper's advantage is ratings volume (4.9K vs 418). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Ferryhopper against 4.9 for Crown Tours. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ferryhopper has 4.9K ratings behind it against 418, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 35% of Ferryhopper's written reviews are positive against 95% of Crown Tours's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
