# LIMS vs Lotis Mode

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lotis Mode at every 2 months against LIMS's every 8 months. LIMS's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LIMS ships an update every 8 months, Lotis Mode every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
