# Solar Alternatives vs FieldPulse

The clearest difference is update cadence: FieldPulse at every 2 months against Solar Alternatives's every 17 months. FieldPulse also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (117 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FieldPulse holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FieldPulse has 117 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Solar Alternatives ships an update every 17 months, FieldPulse every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
