# Oculux vs Loop

The clearest difference is update cadence: Loop at every 2 days against Oculux's every 2 months. Loop also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). Oculux's advantage is ratings volume (199 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oculux sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Loop sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Loop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oculux has 199 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of Oculux's written reviews are positive against 100% of Loop's.

Oculux ships an update every 2 months, Loop every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
