# Speedometer vs CJ Speed

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CJ Speed at none against Speedometer's 7. CJ Speed also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Speedometer's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 15) and review sentiment (23% vs 0%). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. CJ Speed asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Speedometer against 4.4 for CJ Speed. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer has 3K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 23% of Speedometer's written reviews are positive against 0% of CJ Speed's.
