# Next Phase Rugby vs Talentlockr

The clearest difference is rating: Next Phase Rugby at 4.4 against Talentlockr's 2.3. Next Phase Rugby also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (25 vs 3). Talentlockr's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 64%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Next Phase Rugby sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Talentlockr sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Next Phase Rugby holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Next Phase Rugby has 25 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Next Phase Rugby's written reviews are positive against 100% of Talentlockr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Next Phase Rugby ships an update every 5 months, Talentlockr every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
