# GridRewards vs OhmPlug

The clearest difference is ads: OhmPlug at none against GridRewards's shown. OhmPlug also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). GridRewards's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GridRewards holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 977 and 958 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of GridRewards's written reviews are positive against 21% of OhmPlug's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GridRewards ships an update every 3 weeks, OhmPlug every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
