# DeadSpread vs LiveVault

The clearest difference is update cadence: DeadSpread at weekly against LiveVault's every 3 months. DeadSpread also leads on ratings volume (102 vs 20). LiveVault's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LiveVault holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DeadSpread has 102 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of DeadSpread's written reviews are positive against 100% of LiveVault's.

DeadSpread ships an update weekly, LiveVault every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
