# 播放器 vs Addons

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Addons at 60% against 播放器's 35%. Addons also leads on device support (4 vs 2). 播放器's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 播放器 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Addons sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

播放器 ships an update fortnightly, Addons every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
