# EV Smart vs NCP

The clearest difference is rating: NCP at 4.3 against EV Smart's 2.3. NCP also leads on ratings volume (100 vs 3). EV Smart's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NCP holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NCP has 100 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 13% and 12% positive.

EV Smart ships an update weekly, NCP every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
