# OBS Blade vs Webcam for OBS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OBS Blade at 63% against Webcam for OBS's 11%. OBS Blade also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Webcam for OBS's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (328 vs 75). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OBS Blade sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Webcam for OBS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Webcam for OBS holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 75 and 328 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of OBS Blade's written reviews are positive against 11% of Webcam for OBS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
