# Focused Work vs Focus Boost for Safari

The clearest difference is price: Focused Work at Free against Focus Boost for Safari's $2.99. Focused Work also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 50%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Focus Boost for Safari's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 14) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Focused Work is free to download; Focus Boost for Safari costs $2.99 up front. Focused Work sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Focus Boost for Safari asks for nothing beyond the download.

Focus Boost for Safari holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focused Work has 607 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Focused Work's written reviews are positive against 50% of Focus Boost for Safari's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
